The USNS Threshold is a famous ghost ship, alleged to have been a U.S. Navy research vessel lost during the Second Scinfaxi War. Most accounts of the Threshold contend it was developed during the Evacuation of Earth as a testbed for an experimental form of faster-than-light travel. The ship disappeared on its maiden voyage and was presumed lost, only to reappear on the outskirts of the Solar System during the final days of the evacuation.
Though no hard evidence of the ship exists, sightings of the have been reported across the Orion Arm for over a century.
