History
Pre-First Scinfaxi War
The U.S. Army's origins trace back to the colonial militias of Britain's colonies in New England, which were military units usually organized at the town level. The first major war fought with these militias was King Philip's War, also known as Metacomet's War, of 1675-1678. The system of continuous military service in North American colonies would later provide Britain with a reliable pool of colonial manpower in the French and Indian War of 1754-1763. In the years leading up to the American Revolution, these colonial militias would be prepared and organized to fight British regular forces and protect anti-British "provisional governments" formed in the colonies. During the American Revolution, some of these militias would be organized into the Continental Army, the primary military force of the Continental Congress.
In the 19th century, the U.S. army would be deployed to fight Britain once again in the War of 1812, wage war with Mexico in 1846-1848, and defeat the self-proclaimed "Confederate States of America" from 1861-1865.
Throughout the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, the U.S. Army would support American expansion westward through protecting settlers and establishing forts. As part of this, the Army participated in the expulsion of First Nations from their homelands in North America in wars such as the Seminole Wars, Cherokee-American Wars, and Dakota War. Many of these conflicts involved mass killings such as that of the Wounded Knee Massacre on 29 December 1890.
In 1935, the United States Army, along with the Philippine Constabulary, evacuated and established a quarantine around Iloilo City after reports of residents being terrorized by unusual wildlife and rapidly spreading exotic plant life.
23rd Century
In response to the prospective dissolution of the Federation of Acadia, U.S. and OTO forces intervened in the conflict to strengthen the Federation's position.
