Brazil, officially the Federative Republic Brazil, is the Orion Arm's largest nation of the Amazonia Cluster. It is a federation composed of its constituent states and federal districts. Brazil is the only Legacy Nation in the Amazonia Cluster where Portuguese is an official language, and has the largest Portuguese-speaking nation by population. Prior to the Evacuation of Earth, it was the 5th largest nation in territorial area.
Brazil is a member of the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the Union of South American States, and is generally regarded to be amongst the great powers of the Orion Arm - even competing with the Republic of India for leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement.
