By number of controlled systems, it is the second largest formerly South-American Legacy Nation - after the Federative Republic of Brazil - in number of star systems. Prior to the Evacuation of Earth, it was the 8th largest country by territorial extent.
Argentina is a regional power, and retains its historic status as a middle power in international affairs - especially in its role as a major Axis Powers ally with observer status.
