The Argentine Arm is a cluster of star systems located on the trailward edge of the Local Supercluster. It extends outward with Patagonia at its approximate center, outward to the Amazonia Cluster on its spinward edge and the Elysian Fields on its coreward-by-trailward.
Two sovereign states exist in the Amazonia Cluster: The Argentine Republic and the Republic of Chile.
Etymology
From Latin argentum (“silver”) + the feminine of the adjectival suffix -īnus; in reference to the Río de la Plata ("silver river"). Demonym for the people of Argentina.
