The Argentine Arm is a cluster of star systems located on the trailward edge of the Local Supercluster. It extends outward with Patagonia at its approximate center, outward to the Amazonia Cluster on its rimward-by-spinward edge and the Elysian Fields on its coreward-by-trailward.
Two sovereign states exist in the Amazonia Cluster: Argentina and Chile.
Etymology
From Latin argentum (“silver”) + the feminine of the adjectival suffix -īnus; in reference to the Río de la Plata ("silver river"). Demonym for the people of Argentina.
