1933	Discovery of the Scinfaxi Virus	In a remote region of the Philippine islands, an unknown substance is first observed by American researchers.
		National Socialist leader Adolf Hitler is appointed Chancellor of Germany by President of Germany Paul von Hindenburg.
		American replenishment oiler, USS Ramapo encounters rouge waves and strange lights in the Pacific Ocean.
		The Imperial Japanese Army captures the Inner Mongolian province of Rehe and establishes the new state of Manchukuo.
	Burning of the Reichstag	The Reichstag, is set on fire under controversial circumstances. Key civil liberties in Germany are nullified in response.
	Sanriku Earthquake	A powerful tsunami hits Honshu, Japan, killing over 3000 people. In the aftermath, unidentified biological material is found in the affected area.
		Franklin D. Roosevelt is sworn in as the 32nd president of the United States.
	German Federal Election	The National Socialist Party gains 43.9% of the vote.
	Long Beach Earthquake	115 people are killed in Southern California.
		The Reichstag passes the Enabling Act. Adolf Hitler is effectively made dictator of the German Reich.
		Japan announces its withdrawal from the League of Nations, to be effective in 1935.
		Widespread persecution of religious minorities in Germany. The "Gestapo" secret police force is established by Hermann Goering.
		The Stahlhelm veterans organization joins the National Socialist party in Germany.
		The oath of allegiance to the British Crown is abolished in the Irish Free State.
		A man-made famine reaches its peak in Soviet Ukraine.
		A hurricane destroys the town of Tampico, Mexico. Organic material similar to those found in the Philippines and Japan is recovered.
		Germany withdraws from the League of Nations.
		The United States and Soviet Union establish formal diplomatic relations.
		The prohibition of alcohol is repealed in the United States.

First Scinfaxi War (1944-1957)
1944	First Scinfaxi War	Everywhere on Earth, dazzling lights are reported from within the Outgrowths. In many areas, the phenomenon is so bright, night turns to day.
		A machine of unknown origin emerges from an Outgrowth in New Jersey, United States. It vaporizes local military forces and is only destroyed after 99 hours of intense fighting.
		Hundreds and then thousands of similar machines emerge from Outgrowths across the planet.
		Every significant pre-war line is breached. The emerging war turns into a slow retreat.
1947		24 atomic bombs are detonated across the frontline as part of Operation: Hercules.
1955		All further offensive campaigns to retake the Outgrowths are suspended.
1956		Douglas MacArthur resigns the Presidency of the Pacific States of America.
1957		The last sporadic fighting on the perimeter of the Outgrowths subsides. The "First Scinfaxi War" is declared over.

Terran Interregnum (1958-2001)
1958	Terran Interregnum	The German government betrays the conditions of the Reykjavík Summit and annexes occupied territories of the French Republic.
1962	The French Crisis	Free French forces overthrow the Marseille Regime in an overnight coup.
1962		The German Reich backs down after an 11-day nuclear standoff with the Atlantic Treaty Organization.
2018	First FTL Jump	An unmanned American spacecraft completes the first "skip" across a Cosmic String.

Early Colonization Era (2002-2039)
2019	The Centauri Program	The Centauri Program is established, a joint venture between the Soviet Union, German Reich, and ATO.
2024		The manned American spacecraft "Chiron" completes a successful FTL jump to Alpha Centarui.
2031		Mankind's first extrasolar colony, "Harmony", is established on a planet in the Alpha Centauri system.
2039	Operation: Mayflower	The United States announces a "second-generation" FTL drive, and plans for an independent colony in the Sea of Clouds.

The Divide (2040-2149)
2040		The Soviet Union and German Reich scale down their involvement within the Centauri Program.
2045		The United States establishes a colony in the "Liberty" planetary system within the Sea of Clouds.
2049		The German Reich colonizes the Germania System.
2064		String-mapping vessels from the Empire of Japan pass beyond the Far Orinoco .
2078		The Leningrad system is colonized by the Soviet Union.
2083		Vega system colonized, it is the first extrasolar colony founded by nongovernmental interests.
2091		Vesta system colonized.
2130		Vega surpasses Alpha Centauri to become the largest independent colony in the Local Cluster.
2136		STARNET established between Liberty and New Philadelphia.
2148		The spread of the Scinfaxi outgrowths intensifies. Containment measures are increasingly overwhelmed.

The Second Scinfaxi War (2150-2153)
2150	Second Scinfaxi War	Scinfaxi machines emerge from the Outgrowths.
2153		10,000 German soldiers are killed while defending Berlin.
2153		The last transport departs the Solar System. The evacuation of Earth is declared over.

The Modern Dark Age (2154-2171)
2154	Communication Disruption	Interstellar communications are heavily disrupted.
	The New Dark Age	8961 people are killed during the Siege of Mt. Bowers, the last major battle of the American insurrection.

The Recovery (2171-2188)
2169		The Orion Treaty Organization establishes permanent contact with Alpha Centauri.
2170		The German Reich establishes permanent contact with Alpha Centauri
2172		The Soviet Union establishes permament contact with Alpha Centauri
2179		The Empire of Japan establishes permanent contact with Alpha Centauri
2183		The Kisléta Chain Bridge is completed in Vitus, Vega, marking the nation's centennial.
2184	The Lyra Campaigns	The Federal Republic of Vega declares war on the Altair Colonial Administration. It is mankind's first interstellar war.
2187		The Vega Accords are ratified ending the last fighting in the Lyra Veil.
2188		The Empire of Japan joins the reformed League of Nations.

The Cold War (2189 - )
2208	The First Solar War	The Federal Republic of Vega declares war on Alpha Centauri, beginning the First Solar War
2213		Alpha Centauri and Vega sign an armistice recognizing Vegan territorial gains and full sovereignty.
2220	The Roaring Twenties	A massive population boom across the Orion Arm drives a second wave of colonization.
2229	The Second Solar War	Vegan forces land on Sirius.
2231		The bulk of the Alpha Centauri Starfleet is destroyed in the Battle of Cygnus.
		The Republic of Vega surrenders to Alpha Centauri, German Reich, ending the Second Solar War.
2233		Vega territories occupied by German Reich split to form the axis-backed Union of Vega.
2251	The Frontier Rush	Demographic shifts drive a third wave of colonization.
2254		The New People's Alliance party dominates elections in the Republic of Vega, ending UV as a political force.
2254		The Republic of Vega signs the first of a series of diplomatic agreements with the Soviet Union
2258		The Union of Vega is admitted into the Axis.
2259	The First Vega War	The Union of Vega invades the Republic of Vega.
2263		After 4 years fighting, the First Vega War ends in a stalemate with almost no territorial changes.
2264		The Republic of Vega joins the Comintern.
2269	The Corporate War	The FSC Sabrina is destroyed by pirates in the Reunion system after a failed ransom attempt.
		THULE Inc. PMCs are deployed to Reunion and the surrounding planetary systems.
2271		Battle of Reunion. Non-state actors eject THULE PMC's from Reunion system.
2282		American forces on Madiana endure a 99 day siege at Firebase Hector.
2285		104 Brazilian spacecraft violate India's IDIZ, the largest military escalation of the Solar Contest.
		A shark attack on Alpha Centauri reignites the debate on Hybrid Animals.
		The former site of Firebase Hector is occupied by J17.
		An incursion across the Kisléta Chain Bridge in Vitus causes the deaths of at least three.
		US SECNAV announces steady progress of "70,000 Ship Navy" claim earlier pledged by Greene's Administration.
		Australasian Navy encounters suspected pirates in Dakuwaka Deeps, denies allegations of "Black Mask" affiliation.
		Reunion displaces Glasswall to become largest colonial republic within the Far Frontier.
		Red Army bolsters Vega security package containing 16,000 additional PPMs following earlier commitments by the Soviet Navy and Air Force.
