A rump state formed from Commonwealth territories and star-systems left unoccupied after the Second Solar War. A federal republic, it is governed under a largely authoritarian regime that maintains tight control over political and civil affairs. Its economy is well-developed and mixed, combining state-owned enterprises with a robust private sector. It joined the Comintern in 2266, and has been slowly integrated into the Communist Bloc in the decades since. It faces competing territorial claims over the Vega system and has engaged in numerous conflicts against the Federal Union of Vega.
