The Apollo Subcluster is a subcluster of star systems located entirely within the Local Cluster.
It is situated directly between the Juno Reach to the "West" and the Draconis Subcluster to the "East".
The subcluster includes several sovereign states, including: the Artemis Colonial Republic and Callisto Colonial Republic.
The Apollo Subcluster is principally comprised of six primary star systems: Apollo, Artemis, Asclepius, Daphne, Hera, and Leto.
Only two of the star systems of the Apollo Subcluster are significantly populated: Apollo and Artemis.
Etymology
From Ancient Greek Ἄρτεμις (Ártemis). Ancient Greek writers, by way of folk etymology, linked the name (found in Doric as Artamis) to ἄρταμος (ártamos, “butcher”) or ἀρτεμής (artemḗs, “safe, unharmed; pure; maiden”), both relating to her role as goddess of the hunt, wilderness, nature, vegetation, wildlife, childbirth, virginity, archery, healing, young women, and sudden death.
