The Philippine Navy (PN) (Tagalog: Hukbong Dagat ng Pilipinas, lit. 'Army of [the] Sea of [the] Philippines') is the naval service branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
History
The Cold War (2209-present)
The Philippine Navy participates in an ongoing OTO security and outreach effort in the Far Frontier. In 2285, the BRP Tomás Claudio destroyed a Huldra nest in the Belvédère system as part of this effort.
In 2285, the U.S. State Department authorized the sale of 48 Flight II Bayridge-class heavy cruisers to the Philippine Navy by the U.S. Defense Security Assistance Agency as part of an American-led rearmament drive.
