The Democratic Republic of Vega, commonly known as Republican Vega or Communist Vega, is a Non-Legacy Nation at the spinward edge of the Vega Cluster, with the Khazri Planetary System as its capital. It is a Regional Power, a member of the League of Nations, Arusha Pact, African Union and Communist Interstellar. It borders the Federal Union of Vega along their shared demilitarized zone. It is formed from systems and territories left unoccupied during the Second Solar War. It is governed by a authoritarian and communist regime that maintains tight control over political and civil affairs. A member of the Comintern since 2268, its has been slowly integrated into the Communist Bloc in the decades since. Republican Vega possesses a well developed, mixed economy through a combination of state-owned enterprises and a robust private sector.

Contemporary Issues

The Democratic Republic of Vega is in dispute with the Federal Union of Vega over the ownership of the Vega system.
