Lalande Planetary System
Lalande is a planetary system located within the Solar Subcluster of the Local Cluster.
History
Like other League of Nations mandates in the Modern Dark Age, Lalande fell into civil war between secessionists and loyalists. The post-mandate conflict lasted for almost a decade, before being brought to an end after rebel forces launched the Lalande Atomic Attacks. Although the planet was integrated into atomic supply chains, it is currently unknown how the nuclear warheads used were acquired.
In 2285, the 120th anniversary of the Lalande Atomic Attacks was observed by communities throughout the Local Supercluster. Around 4 million people, including community leaders and survivors, were recorded as attending the various ceremonies held.
