History

Centauri Shark Attacks

Six individuals were killed as the result of shark attacks in the weeks heading up to the 2285 regatta, sparking safety concerns. During the event itself, a Centauri White over 300 feet in length breached the safety perimeter of the regatta, resulting in the capsizing of two attending vessels and the deaths of at least seventy individuals.
