Special Use Sector

A "special use sector" is a designated region of space where operations are conducted that necessitate limitations on all non-participating starships. They are intended to clearly delineate the boundaries of such activities, isolating it from other interstellar traffic and keep said traffic aware of potential hazards. Most Special Use Sectors are depicted on interstellar charts and many national governments also maintain records of their current status. Flying in Special Use Sectors without clearance can be hazardous or fatal.
