The Gateway Subcluster is a subcluster of star systems located entirely within the Sea of Clouds.
It is situated directly between the Symphony Subcluster Spinward and the New American Colonies Rimward.
The subcluster includes one sovereign state: the United States of America.

From English gate + way. An English noun meaning "a place regarded as giving access to somewhere."
