The Hydrus Expanse is a subcluster of star systems located on the trailward edge of the Calypso Deeps.
It is situated trailward of the Encruzilhada Subcluster and rimward of the Amazonia Cluster.
The Hydrus Expanse is comprised of two star systems: Alpha Hydrus and Beta Hydrus.
Etymology
Borrowed from Ancient Greek ὕδρος (húdros). Latin noun meaning "male water serpent."
Astrography
With only two star systems, the Hydrus Expanse is the smallest subcluster of the Calypso Deeps.
