The Hydrus Expanse is a subcluster of star systems located on the trailward edge of the Calypso Deeps.
It is situated trailward of the Encruzilhada Subcluster and rimward of the Amazonia Cluster.
The Hydrus Expanse is comprised of two star systems: Alpha Hydrus and Beta Hydrus.
Etymology
From Latin hydrus (“water serpent”), originally from Ancient Greek Ὕδρα (Húdra, “Hydra”).
