The State of Virngrund, commonly known as Virngrund, Is a Fascist Non-legacy Nation, and a Middle Power located within the Acadian Expanse.
History
The Cold War
Invasion of Saint-Joseph
The State of Virngrund has long deemed the city state of Saint-Joseph as an illegal breakaway state. In 2285, Virngrundian forces launched a surprise invasion of the city, leaving its OTO partners unable to respond, while the United States refused to directly intervene in the conflict. The initial invasion was marked with missile strikes and landings in the outskirts of Saint-Joseph. Fighting was concentrated within maritime harbor facilities, spaceports & the regional rail terminal. Saint-Joseph Prime Minister Aaron Desramaults surrendered after the capture of the National Palace. Upon the surrender of Saint Joseph, Virngrundian President Zelená proclaimed the return of the "breakaway" city.
