The New American Colonies is a star cluster located in the Sunset Gates, on the periphery of the primary translight corridor linking the Local Supercluster to the Sea of Clouds. Its high concentration of habitable worlds made it the focus of early American colonization programs, eventually becoming the core of the United States' interstellar territories.
Astrography
The New American Colonies consist of thirteen star systems. It is spinward of the Symphony Subcluster, and rimward of the Gateway Subcluster.

Etymology
The New American Colonies were part of a U.S. initiative to normalize interstellar expansion by invoking the nation’s colonial heritage. The program began with the 13 star systems of the cluster, deliberately mirroring the original Thirteen Colonies to create a sense of historical continuity and mythic national identity. As expansion continued, the name came to refer to the core region of American interstellar space.
