The Vega Cluster is a subcluster of systems located entirely within the Lyran Veil.
It is situated immediately Coreward of the Solar Subcluster, between the Mare Nostrum to its Trailward and the Indian Arm to the Spinward.
The subcluster includes two sovereign states: the Democratic Republic of Vega and Federal Union of Vega.
The Vega Cluster is principally comprised of thirteen primary star systems: Coromuel, Harmattan, Khamsin, Khazri, Kona, Liesma, Minuano, Mistral, Pampero, Sirocco, Tsiokantimo, Vega, and Whitaker.
Etymology
The name Vega (earlier Wega) comes from a loose transliteration of the Arabic word wāqi' (Arabic: واقع) meaning "falling" or "landing", via the phrase an-nasr al-wāqi' (Arabic: النّسر الْواقع), "the falling eagle".
