The Elysian Fields is a cluster of star systems located on the trailward edge of the Local Supercluster.

It is situated coreward-by-trailward of the Argentine Arm and rimward-by-trailward of Mare Nostrum.

Etymology

From Latin, from Ancient Greek Ἠλῠ́σῐον (Πεδῐ́ον) (Ēlúsion (Pedíon)). An allusion to Elysium, the home of the blessed after death in Greek and Roman mythology.
