The Patres Patriae is a group of five star systems located entirely inside the Mare Nostrum. The subcluster includes five colonized systems belonging solely to the Italian Social Republic. As a Legacy Nation, it shares strong direct historical, cultural, and linguistic ties to a nation that once existed on Earth.
Astrography
The Patres Patriae is situated rimward of the Septem Colles, coreward of the Elysian Fields, and trailward of the Mare Nostrum.

Etymology
Latin. Patres plural of pater ("father"). Patriae inflection of patria ("fatherland".)
Pater Patriae (English: Father of the fatherland) was an honorific title in ancient Rome, granted to only two senators and twenty three emperors. During the early modern and late modern periods, the same title was granted to the leaders of Italian unification.
