As a Legacy Nation, it shares strong direct historical, cultural, and linguistic ties to a nation that once existed on Earth.
Astrography
The Mare Nostrum is situated coreward of the Arcturus Subcluster, trailward of the Lyran Veil, rimward of the Tannhauser Gate, and spinward of the Elysian Fields.
