The Local Cluster is a cluster of star systems located in the core of the Local Supercluster.
The Local Cluster is comprised of five subclusters: the Apollo Subcluster, Arcturus Subcluster, Draconis Subcluster, Juno Reach, and Solar Subcluster.
Etymology
The name "Local Cluster" follows the precedent established by astronomer Edwin Hubble's naming of the galaxy group including the Milky Way as the "Local Group".
