The Amazonia Cluster is a cluster of star systems located in the Local Supercluster. It extends outward with Catedral at its approximate center, outward to the Argentine Arm on its coreward-by-trailward edge, the Calypso Deeps on its rimward-by-spinward, and the Local Cluster to its spinward. It contains two constituent subclusters and approximately sixteen star systems.
Two sovereign states exist in the Amazonia Cluster: The Federative Republic of Brazil and the Republic of Gran Colombia.
Etymology
The Amazonia Cluster is named after the Amazon Rainforest, a moist broadleaf tropical rainforest in the Amazon biome that covered most of the Amazon basin of South America on Earth.
