The Encruzilhada Subcluster is a group of 10 star systems located within the Calypso Deeps. The subcluster includes one colonized system and a single country, the Bolivarian Republic of Callao. It is a non-legacy nation, emerging entirely in the post-Earth era.
Astrography
The Encruzilhada Subcluster is situated trailward of the Pillars of Hercules and rimward of the Amazonia Cluster.
Translight Strings
There are a total of nine charted translight strings connecting the 10 star systems of the Encruzilhada Subcluster. Three of these translight strings, those leading further into the Calypso Deeps, are weak and unstable. The Encruzilhada system is the subcluster's nexus, with five strings converging there.

Etymology
The Portuguese word encruzilhada translates to "crossroads" or "intersection" in English. It may also be used as a term to figuratively to describe a difficult situation.
