Ular Ketawa is a group of eight star systems located on the spinward edge of the Local Supercluster. There are no colonized systems or countries in this subcluster.

It is situated between the Well of Embers coreward and the New Canaan Corridor rimward.

The subcluster includes no sovereign states.

Ular Ketawa is principally comprised of eight primary star systems: Bakunawa, Kalyak, Kapuas, Minokawa, Nang Mai, Nang Tani, Rangda, and Xe Kong.

Etymology

Malay ular ("snake") + ke (prefix) + tawa (to laugh).

Ular Ketawa (English: The Laughing Snake) refers both to the subcluster's serpentine shape - and to the high level of piracy in the subcluster.

Astrography

The Ular Ketawa subcluster is situated coreward of the New Canaan Corridor, rimward of the Well of Embers, and spinward of the Senekane Subcluster.

Translight Strings

There are a total of eight charted translight strings connecting the eight star systems of Ular Ketawa. Over half of the translight strings on Ular Ketawa are weak and unstable. This subcluster does not have any nexus star systems, as none of its stars have four or more strings connecting to them.
